主要研究方向
玉米籽粒发育的分子调控网络机制:籽粒是玉米的主要储藏器官,也是产量和品质的最终体现。通过对玉米籽粒发育过程中关键基因的克隆和功能分析,揭示玉米籽粒发育的分子调控机制。通过玉米籽粒发育中关键转录因子及其基因调控网络的解析,构建玉米籽粒发育的分子调控网络,从系统生物学角度阐明玉米籽粒的发育过程。
 
玉米蛋白品质形成的分子机制和育种改良:玉米是最主要的饲料作物,蛋白品质是首要的品质性状。通过对玉米籽粒储藏蛋白的转录、翻译、加工和储藏等多个过程的深入研究,解析玉米蛋白品质形成的分子机制。利用CRSIPR基因编辑、合成生物学等技术手段,改造玉米籽粒内源储藏蛋白系统,并引入外源储藏蛋白,实现对玉米蛋白品质的育种改良。
